Hey There

Today, more than ever, sports play a crucial role in promoting sustainability.

Whether at a local level or through international events, sports organizations

are discovering new ways to reduce environmental impact and raise awareness

among athletes, fans, and communities about the importance of sustainability.

Sports have the power to inspire positive changes - environmentally

economically and socially.

Sports events, especially large ones, can have a significant environmental impact. Consider the CO2 emissions from transportation, the enormous energy consumption, the use of single-use plastics, and the waste generated. However, a growing number of sports organizations are working to make these events more eco-friendly.

All about our project

ASD Europcenter, specialized in martial arts and combat sports, is actively committed to promoting a culture of sustainability within its field.

Through an awareness campaign targeting athletes, coaches, referees, managers, and supporters of these disciplines, Europcenter aims to encourage the adoption of responsible behaviors not only in sports but also in environmental, social, and economic practices.

The primary goal of the campaign is to convey that sports practice can align with a concrete commitment to sustainability.

Martial arts and combat sports require dedication, respect for rules, and teamwork, values that are perfectly in tune with a more responsible and sustainable vision for the world we live in.

Sports also have a significant social impact, promoting inclusion, equality, and well-being. Organizing sustainable events and activities not only reduces environmental impact but also creates more cohesive and conscious communities.

The main goals of the "Golden Glove" event are:

  1. Enhancing Italy's Image in the International Context: Promote Italy as a host for high-quality, world-renowned sporting events by organizing a globally recognized kickboxing competition.

  2. Promoting Sports Practice and Culture: Encourage the spread of kickboxing, a rapidly growing sport, both nationally and internationally, and raise public awareness of the value of sports, emphasizing respect, ethics, and fair play.

  3. Positive Impact on the Local Economy: The event attracts numerous participants, athletes, coaches, companions, and spectators from around the world, generating positive economic benefits for the hosting area through tourism and commerce.

  4. Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups: The event actively involves people with disabilities and minors, promoting inclusion and participation in major sporting events, and encouraging the practice of kickboxing across all demographics.

  5. Environmental, Social, and Economic Sustainability: The event organization adopts specific measures to minimize environmental impact. Planned initiatives include reducing emissions related to travel and running awareness campaigns on social and environmental sustainability. The event also fosters inclusivity, accessibility, and well-being by encouraging participation from people of all ages, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds and promotes values such as respect, equality, and inclusion, preventing discrimination and creating a safe, positive environment. Special emphasis is placed on gender equality, particularly supporting women in kickboxing and ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for them.

  6. Promoting the Event as a Model of Sustainable and Inclusive Sports Management: Extensive promotional and communication campaigns are planned through a dedicated website and social media channels.

  • Use recyclable and biodegradable materials provided by the catering services

  • Minimize single-use plastic by using reusable water bottles
